    Your Ideal Aruba Day

What is an ideal day in Aruba for you?

Speaking for just myself.......coffee poolside at LaCabana, water aerobics at 10 am, a walk across to the ocean for a long float. Back to our poolside table and a pizza and salad for lunch OR cheese and crackers and salad. More pool til about 3, then a stroll to the Pata Pata bar at LaCabana poolside for something high calorie and frozen.
Nap time is usually 4 to 5:30.
    Dinner is in or out.
Casino is usually after 8 pm and if life were perfect we'd win.

    My perfect day:
Breakfast at Ike’s at the Manchebo enjoying coconut french toast or cinnamon rolls
Hanging out at the beach until early afternoon spending most of my time in the water watching the pelicans
Lunch and drinks late afternoon at Lucy’s downtown then playing and WINNING the slots (88 Fortunes) at the Seaport and Crystal Casinos
Back to the room to hang out for an hour or so and then head out to the Ritz For dinner at Casa Nonna followed by a few hours in the casinos and sipping espresso martinis. Ahhh can’t wait until we can plan another trip.

First sleeping in, then a nice breakfast at Dushi Bagels. Beach time under a palapa and several laps in the Lazy River and then happy hour at any of our favorite places. That would be followed by a short nap and shower. Burger and wings from Local Store, a walk around Paseo Herencia and maybe a gelato for dessert. Then wrapping up at Moomba for drinks, music and conversation with friends.

    OR

Sleeping in then breakfast in the room with one of Pam's famous breakfast sandwiches. Then hop in the car to explore the island and probably winding up at Baby Beach. Lunch at Kamini's, a quick stop at Rum Reef, and a return to the resort to park the car and off to Nos Clubhuis for a drink or two and to watch sunset. Then dinner at Casa Tua and bar hop and shop our way back to Surf Club.

    Perfect day-

Sleeping in till after 9am. Getting up and head down the hall to the Ritz Club level. Enjoy the servings of the day while sitting on the balcony chatting with my family. After breakfast we will head out to the beach/pool depending on our mood and probably rotate between both several times. After having enough sun for a bit we would grab a sit at the Madero Bar right at the Ritz to enjoy our 1st drink of the day and catch up with the wonderful people we have come to know very well. After lunch and some drinks we would be ready for a swim for sure. Some more time on the beach playing with our son....then possibly a quick nap prior to getting ready for the night. After our nap we would head back to the club level for a couple of drinks and to chat with Jesse, Agnes, Cadir, and others prior to dinner. For dinner it would be out with one of our best friends Eduardo. After dinner our wonderful sitter would arrive and Tracy and I would go out gambling or a bit. Hopefully we would have enough money to enjoy the casino for a few hours...and if that failed we would go back to the club for more drinks, lol.
April 17th- Aruba here we come!

Up early and out to the palapa talking to my friends as they show up. Once I get my lounges, I walk the Palm Beach Boardwalk. Shower and go to Dunkins' for coffee and breakfast at the Playa Linda timeshare.
Out to palapa and read or listen to music (headphones). Also visit other people on the beach.
Lunch at noontime and back to the beach to repeat the morning.
Around 4:30 go in, take a shower relax, eat dinner, and go to sleep.
    START ALL OVER AGAIN.
    Love It.

Up early (at least for the first few days!), throw on some clothes and down to Manchebo lobby or Santos to grab a coffee. Back up to room and enjoy my caffeine with my Kindle and the tradewinds on my balcony. Wash up, slather on the sunblock, and meander down to the beach to find Joseul and get my palapa set up. Breakfast at Ike's Bistro then plopping myself down under my palapa with my Kindle and probably another cup of java. A couple of morning dips in the ocean and then lunch/cocktail (most likely a caesar salad and a Balashi Chill or two) at Pega Pega. Back to my palapa for the afternoon, a few dips in the pool, lots of people watching, probably until 4ish. Back up to room to shower, relax, and change. Down to the bar at either Ike's Bistro or Pega Pega for a Tito's Cosmo. Then dinner at The Chophouse seated in Harold's section eating their incredible almond-crusted grouper with coconut sauce and tiramisu for dessert, a couple of glasses of a wonderful Pinot Grigio they serve. A glass of Port at Pega Pega enjoyed while lounging on one of the pavilion couches and listening to the night sounds of Aruba. Early to bed - it was a busy day for vacation! Aaaahhh.....
