Super Bowl Aruba

Sunday is for God, naps, and the Super Bowl!

Ahh yes…. I’ve waited a whole year to sit down, have some wings, and enjoy the best commercials and half-time show of the year!

Just kidding! Ok… I’m a little excited about Rihanna, but the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will face off on February 12th for the 57th Super Bowl! This year’s Super Bowl will be held at the State Farm Stadium, which has both a retractable field and a retractable roof, the first of its kind in North America! But if you happen to be in Aruba on this holy day, you’ve already won. If you want to watch the game anyway, you can do so at many bars and restaurants on the island, many of which have Super Bowl specials! Check out some establishments below that have the best and most fun seats in the house during the game. Get ready for lots of yelling, cheering, and cold drinks!

1. MooMba Beach

The self-proclaimed Aruban home for the Super Bowl, MooMba Beach, should definitely be high on your places-to-watch-the-game list. You can expect a beach stadium with big screens all over and specials on food and drinks. You can already make reservations for VIP tables, including a fixed 3-course choice dinner menu.

2. Renaissance Marketplace

Okay, so you won't be in the stadium watching the game live… What’s the next best thing? The Super Bowl square of Aruba! That’s where. The largest open-air spot with large screens! The best part? All the different restaurants in the Renaissance Marketplace have specials for Super Bowl Sunday. After all the excitement, you can enjoy the rest of what Oranjestad has to offer, or stick around and enjoy the wonderful culinary delights in the marketplace.

3. Local Store

Why not watch the game local-style? Local Store is a favorite among locals and visitors. Enjoy the game with deals on Bud Light, Corona, and Stella Artois! Big screen, beer and some of the best food on the island? I wouldn't even wait till Sunday! Let's go now, no?

  1. Elevated VIP - On the fifty: 6-8 people $2000
  2. Club 57 - Premium-level comfort: $150 p/p

5. Café the Plaza

One of the best spots to watch any big sporting event is Café the Plaza. As with the Fifa World Cup last year, the square in front of the café will transform into the Super Bowl Square of Aruba. It is truly a fun place to be even when there isn't a game on. The mega screen is what sets this one apart from the rest. Come and enjoy bucket deals on Coronita and Bud Light with delicious food and an exciting atmosphere. The Super Bowl Square will also have seating for all spectators joining in! But get there early, as the square will start to fill up starting at 5:30pm.

The game will be shown on the big screens inside the restaurant and outside at the beach bar. Book your table ASAP before they are all gone!

7. It's 5 O’clock Somewhere

This spot is one of the favorites for watching sporting events. It's 5 O’clock Somewhere is a unique bar and grill located in the center of the Renaissance Marketplace. You’ll have plenty to do in the area before and after the game. Enjoy specials on food and drink, such as 6 wings and 1 beer for only $15 or 20 wings and a bucket of beer for $58.
