Betico Croes’ hometown of Santa Cruz sponsors an amateur road race through the hilly, scenic terrain of that area. The circular route takes runners through residential neighborhoods and back to the main intersection of Santa Cruz. The race avoids the hotter hours of the day, the starting pistol sounds at 6:00 p.m.
