Throughout the past 12 years, “Celebracion Dia di Brazil” has transitioned from a family cultural get together to an island wide popular event.
This event takes place in the district of Brazil. During approximately 1-month, Fundacion Chico Harms organizes various events, such as cultural queen elections (for children, youth, adult and elderly) and also various parades which take place in the streets of Brazil area here on the beautiful island of Aruba.
The mission of this movement is to complement and enhance the folklore and culture of Aruba. “Celebracion Dia di Brazil” consists of folklore and cultural activities that are developed and executed by volunteers. In this way FCH would like to educate, inspire, entertain and empower the community and on-island visitors.
