Jerry Geerman is the Strongest Man of Aruba

The third edition of the Strongest Man of Aruba competition at MooMba Beach was a huge success.

It started Friday September 28th ending with the finals last Sunday September 30th. Three evenings of showcasing sheer willpower, incredible strength, trembling muscles, bulging biceps and other well-trained body parts. Elements like Barrel Throw, Truck Pull, Stone Run, Log lift, Yoke Carry and Tire Flip where challenged by 15 contenders. Sunday’s finals started off with yoke carry, followed by a surprise parkour of truck pull, tire flip and finally the stone run. The large number of supporters cheered for the 7 finalists, while they completed the though task raising three 80kg stones to the top of a stag of pallets.

The overall winner of the competition is Jerry Geerman, who won all the elements over de course of three days, but one. By winning the final parkour he sealed the deal and has rightfully been crowned as The Strongest Man of Aruba. First runner up is Patrick Brugmans and second runner up is Justin Dekker.

The party continued as MooMba bar as Travel Sessions band hit the stage and set in the party. The Strongest Man of Aruba competition was made possible by Nagico, the Dutch Marine Cops and Amstel Bright, as well as Fresh FM, Cas di Max, High Performers and Aruba Wine and Dine. The organization has already confirmed that there will be a fourth edition in 2019.
